I'm running a basic install of LMMS 1.1.3 on Win7 Home Premium 64 bit and I check fairly often since this has been reported. I've never seen a single instance of a "ghost" LMMS process hanging about after I've closed LMMS down. It makes it really difficult to track any errors down when that sort of thing happens.

This could indicate, that there is something that interferes with the normal shutdown, related to windows setup.. or an other running process on the OP pc.
I wonder if Administrator / account used could be a clue..
But you are so right, it is exactly these situations, that makes bug-hunting very difficult indeed!

That's an interesting thought. I always set my normal account to have full Admin rights. I'll set up another account as just a basic user and see if that makes any difference.
