Will do and I am already watching many vids from people creating music in any daw.
I don't care which one they use, I learn a lot from it. I also learned from it I don't like daws that don't have a piano roll.

This is the vid were I got the notes from, of aplha by vangelis, the biggest problem for me, he only shows parts.

Not lmms ;) but logic pro, but C sharp C sharp. ( or is it C flat lol, I gamble on c sharp)

Great :) And yous a compressor is a good solution for clipps
Thank you. :)
After smoking a joint and listening to more (trance) dance music, it came to me were I go "wrong"

Now the problem of putting this in words.

The type of music I am trying to make has this driving / thumping part, drums / percussion and bassline, with often some synth notes, in a repetitive loop.

Finally some of feedback already given to me in this topic has found its place.
Don't forget the pads.
It's very important in Trance music. :)

But then again, you probably already knew that, because of your Trance space song, Into Space.
I am not 100% happy yet, but getting closer to trance, so progress. :)

Thumbs up.
Still fighting to make trance, but also made some progress.

I have started to notice that all? pop music does the same thing.

The bassline is almost ever a simple loop, which lays a kind of foundation for the melody. it does not matter if were talking about trance or some oldies from the 60 ties. The ones I am listening to right now.

Funny how making music, changes the way I hear music.
I am also watching vids on how to make trance. I still do not fully get melody wise, why trance is trance. The only thing I have noticed, is that changes in most other music happen after a 4 count, in trance this is most of the time after 8 counts. ( counts as in 1,2,3,4 )

In between I am gonna replace a hard-disk in my pc. The one with Linux on it is very likely dying.
I actually made my first trance song. It's a loop on LSP.

not quite sure i get that.
But if you listen to that 'model-track' The wall then notice that same note is repeated in bar 2/4/6.. eg the equal bars, but bars 1/3/5.. the un-equal bars has variations, but the variations are 'connected' They are called 'questions and answers' in some tutorials, like if bar 3 'says' something, bar 5 answers that frase, and bar 4 is kind of where the listener has to wait for the 'answer'
so we could go
aaa0 00ab 00bb 0bcd (question
bbb0 bb00 b000 bb00 (wait
ddd0 00dc 00cd 0acb (answer
and then back to a wait:
ddd0 dd00 d000 dd00
Hope you remember the notation-system :p, those are ofcause not notes :{ but positions in scale

Is that close to your '8 count variations' ?
