My first time posting in the forums, though I've used the forums as my "go-to" for troubleshooting since I first started with LMMS.
I played clarinet and euphonium in school, always had a passion for music. Then, after graduating high school, life just got busy... I stopped playing and sold my clarinet. It's been over 20 years since I played an actual instrument with any kind of proficiency. But there was always this nagging hunger for making music... so my husband introduced me to LMMS. (He's not a musician, but a Linux user.) So I started dabbling in LMMS about 5-6 years ago. It was the kind of dabbling where I'd create partial projects over a few weeks and then forget about it for 6 months or more... so I always had to relearn everything, especially when there was a major update. Lately, though, the need to make "pretty noise" has brought me back with much more enthusiasm and drive.
Anyway, I'm trying to turn this nagging hunger for making music into an actual hobby. And I'm a female. It's great to see that there are several other women here.
