What the difference between the fast look ahead limiter and the peak controller ?
I'm an amateur who's been making music for the last 4 or 5 years. This is a great activity for me! Thank you! :)

I'll link mine when it's done.

P.S. - I literally JUST made my account to reply to this thread.
My "spectrum analyzer" is an ion tailgater PA. Nothing brings sound problems to the forefront like a massive speaker.

The peak controllers generate a signal based on the volume of the track, while the fast lookahead limiters receive that signal and reduce the volume of the track, while also providing a "release" or cooldown period from that volume adjustment.

Think of it as a system of prioritized auto-mixing for tracks that normally overload certain frequency bands when combined, such as kick and bass tracks.

Welcome LYF3ST1LE, looking forward to hearing your mix. :)

With a monophonic speaker like that, your mixes aren't going to be very accurate. Use a pair of headphones to doublecheck your mixes, specifically stereo elements in your mixes.

While it's true that you have to trust your ears, it also helps if you can see what's actually happening. The LMMS native Spectrum Analyzer is very basic. May I suggest Voxengo SPAN VST? http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/

That's what you guys are for!

Lol JK, although I do have much shittier headphones than my massive monophonic speaker.

That sounds like one of my problems. Instrument fighting over space in the spectrum.

Time for another project to mix? Here's part of the second drop from REKT:

Original song (second drop at 3:09): https://soundcloud.com/avelocity/rekt
Unmixed file: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=8008 WARNING: LOUD

Here's the final version from Avelocity: https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=8007

For it to sound exact to the soundcloud version, you will need the Bitrot FX plugin set from Grieppi.
