Oh, I see what you mean now.

Sounding good so far Gps.
Keep going and take your time. You'll make it. 8-)

PS: I noticed that the melody sounds a bit familiar, and reminds me a bit, of your Into Space melody. 8-)

As it is now it is totally unintentional, a nice time-line of the struggle. It is at points to much house like, In the end though I am getting closer,
I know whats wrong, mostly its in the organ part I have for the melody, or should I say lag of melody, or not trance suited melody, (to much house like)
Great job :) slowly it starts to sounds more trancy ! You really made progress and you're almost there !
Maybe I would suggest you to try a gated bass line, I mean a bass note on each beat sidechained with the kick, I don't know if you get what I mean ?

Besides it's really good ! The reverb on the clap works very well, maybe I would put the hihats louder because in trance you usually hear the kick and the hihats above everything (just my feeling though).

Regarding the synth, they are very good, you got that airy feeling and as you said now you have to find a more trancy melody ! (Or use your existing one and break the rules of trance to make some unique genre ;) )
I'm glad you came with this result ! Keep on working and you'll get THE trance you're searching for !
@Gps, you are making progress. I think the percussion is too conform, though. The percussion take the same work as the rest of the track, and i totally disagree with the yT tut, that says the drums are very simple in trance. They are so not simple! Yes filtered parts are almost a must. 16 bars of the melodi or OBS! PART!! of the melody, that then unfolds in the euphoria (crescendo) with a burst of sound. I remember i once read, that techno uses highpass filtered parts, and traditional trance lowpass. Zasfx has absolutely fantastic LP filter options, even stages 1..3 so a really deep variation can be made.

I btw. will make a new tut on driving bass, That is actually one of things i have spend enormous -perhaps even ridiculous, lot of time to get 'right', but then i suddenly realize the philosopher-stone-secret :p in getting that drive sound its the one at 1:04 here

, and that sound is so trance :)
That drive meant the world for my atempt to make real trance, so il share it later:)

I am not happy about the bassline yet, its the best one I made though. It was worse before lol.
Good tip on the hihats, gonna try that,

Funny that you say my drums are to conform. I agree but because of some tutorials, I thought this is how it is supposed to be.

I have also tried already synth1 with an arpeggio for the bassline. The words driving bass is exactly why I am not happy with my bassline yet. Its missing the driving force. :)
After listing again to the w i p trance, I think I get it.

The arpeggio give it the driving sound ? So I need some bass line and an arpeggio ? ( and fade ins but that's stuff I will get to when I found the right melody)

Tried synth1 though, because I could not figure out how to arpeggio, in zynaddsubFX. Why is there no arpeggio button like in all other zynth ?
Could not find it in the manual either. It must be there though I think.

You're trance track is very close to what I am aiming at.

Origenal idea, is about some kind of deep purle organ sound, used for a trance track. For now I am happy with the ZynAddSubFx sound though. Sounds organ enough for me.

In my opinion, yes. As I say try the gated bass line and some light arpeggios and see if you like the result !

Thanks, thought you mend that, but was not entirely sure.

A gated bass, is were you loose me though. What is a gated bass.

I have seen presets in Synth 1, called gated, but I do now have the slightest idea what it means.

Or how to make it.

What I also like to add.

Eino ones said something to me like, welcome on you're never ending journey of learning music.

I have been looking a lot at chords, and the stuff about the most used chords.

Axes of awesomeness. Three guys : you know why we never scored a hit though ?
What really opened my mind though, that a midi track from a a 70 ties hit track, again had that pattern.

Some people can tell you more about what notes go with it, but were is does come down too. How to score a hit ?
You have what ever chord, then a second one lower, a third one back up, can be the same as the start, but here is room for variation, and a 4th one a bit up again.
This loop?, I found out is used in more tracks then we both can imagine.

Modern dance music has this but also a 70 disco / rock track :o
Part of me is still in shock. Rubettes - juke box jive.

But also what is love Haddaway. :P

Edit:
And back to trance, this is were trance is different from most other popmusic.
This pattern is in trance much longer. Its not over 4 bars.
