I though you were going for a Frankie Knuckles sort of old school thing? Ha! Ha! Lol! 8-)

I listened to your track on soundcloud, it sounds nice though.
Your start up is nice.
A drum roll during the start up, leading to the melody, might have worked too. ;)

PS: I am very curious to hear, what "you," like and don't like with your track. :geek:
Also, since you are the one working on this track, I would like to know:

1) Are you happy with this latest track?

2)Or do you prefer your old one.

3) Or are you making a track, that other people with a different taste of music, would want to hear, but you wouldn't want to make or hear? :geek:

The answer to that is simple. I listen to and think about all feedback I get. If there is a suggestion, I don't like, I will ignore it.
I am happy with the track, but have this nagging feeling it can be even better.
The track is for me a tad to repetitive, or in other words, I have not hide the repetitiveness well enough.

So rule number one is, I have to like it. A nice example on that, was an online friend not liking the two samples.
I like them, and love the our house music one. Over my dead body those will be removed. ;)

It might sound i have a lot of online "friends", and I do, but about music there are only two to who I listen.
A women who plays keyboard, and a friend from Australia. The last one knows about DAW's and has been a producer for a radio station.
( that why I call him my producer ;) )
Another example that I do not do everything he suggests, is the fact I am still on lmms.
He wants me to use Cubase or Albeton.

Maybe one day that might happen, but not until, I feel lmms is limiting me. For now there is enough room for me to improve with lmms.
Would I win the lottery I might get cubase, but for sure a lot of real synths and drum computers.
I would then not let my pc generate the sound, but let the midi devices produce the sound.

If I listen to that Frankie knuckles track, it sounds to me, he has done a better job in hiding its very repetitive.
I want my track to be just as good. For now I have the feeling I am very close, but not there yet.

For now I have saved my project under a new name, and I will have a look at the suggestion about deleting that part.
I am not yet convinced I should. I am gonna have a try at a less repetitive bass-line. (and more variation in the percussion and drums)
But I have have gotten very positive feedback from this forum already, and I am not willing to ignore all that.
Its not I value his feedback over my friends on this forum, and because I already like my track, I am looking at fine tuning, not a complete overhaul.
That's not gonna happen. :)

Hmmm,....maybe it's the singer. I noticed that when the singer came into the music track, it started to sound a bit different.

If I told you guys, that the first DAW I almost used was Fruity Loopys, would you believe me? :D
Something just drew me to Lmms.

Nice.

The good news is, most of the track is nice.
So that means, a whole chunk of the track is already complete.
I would say it is 80% complete so far. Probably more. Ha! Ha!
Maybe it needs another simple synth melody, to help break up the song a bit and make it less repetitive?
And then, you could go back to the old synth melody afterwards in the music track. :)

From what I've learnt, sometimes simple things and not complex things, can solve alot of problems and make a music track sound much better.
I learnt that through experience.
So try not to over complicate things.
It could be a simple problem to solve.

PS: Keep pushing.
You have alot of help on this forum and other places.
Many Blessings on your project Gps.

I just had a listen and a look at my track. It was as I had understand him.
The second and last part are the same, he suggests to remove the second part.

Exactly, I have noticed the percussion and drums to change too when there is singing or at least his beat is not the same through out the entire track.

Fruity loops was my first daw too, but I never made any track with it.

Thank you. (also on the feedback)
I like that idea, I am also thinking about a different choir part for the second part.
One thing were I think I need to improve, is copy less from left to right. More variation not just for this track. :)

After a good look at my project, I am gonna have a talk with my producer about his feedback.
I am not gonna to delete that second part.

It is already a variation, on the first part, and I like it. The bass-line however is the same, so first thing to try is to change that, and see how that works out.

Edit: I had btw also found a mistake. I try lately to always have a few extra drums hits, when there is a transition.
They were not at the right spot though.

Need to fix the volume of some notes.

But I think this is how its gonna be. Its only the first 2 and half minutes.
Only real difference, the bass- line on the second part. ( from 1.46 )

I think this is better :)

Now for me the big question, do I change the drums and percussion too, on the second part. Tbc.

I like that bass sound at 1:46 secs.
It's nice how you changed the bass sound at 1:46 secs.
The drum beat melody sounds nice too.
Sounding nice so far.

Thank you. I am happy how it did not really change the song. Was a bit worried about that.
