Delayed/Laggy Sound since .4.14 (win 32)

So I noticed since .4.14 LMMS has been playing the sample/machine sounds really slowly or lagged. Like if I try to play one of the sample songs the audio is completely lagged or dragged out and sounds really bad. It also happens in .4.15. But was fine in .4.13
Vista Home Premium 32bit on this computer.
Any idea what might causing this sound issue?

I also have LMMS installed on a Win 7 x64 up to .4.15 (64bit version) and all the songs/music/sample/machines play fine.

tjek your sound-devise. (edit| settings|audio-settings) Most has succes with SDL.

That seemed to fix it, is there any downside to having to use SDL? Or was PortAudio in mainly for the Linux releases? (Or to work with JACK)

port-audio is crappy for most. ASIO-for-All however does give better sound -richer, more dynamic - however a lot of vsts wont work, and crashes is serious. pc restarts is needed -at least on my system. that can be different for others.
I use SDL.
