Purpose of AudioFileProcessor MIDI tab ?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello,

can we export to MIDI file a Track that use AudioFileProcessor ?
Or at least, generate MIDI Events on a MIDI output port in order to record a MIDI track file ?
Let's say we have a kick track AudioFileProcessor and we want to generate a kick midi event for each kick event on LMMS side, how would we achieve this ?

What is the use of AudioFileProcessor MIDI Tab ?

No. Maybe in the future, I believe someone might be working on MIDI export.

In Linux it should work more or less like this:
Start your recording sequencer, enable MIDI output, choose an output port, choose a channel and set the note you want to export. For a kick drum that would be 35 or 36. For tracks with melody leave the note at the default "---".

In (at least some versions of) Windows, you might need some extra software between LMMS and the sequencer. Here are some pointers: http://monome.org/community/discussion/comment/69164
I'm using Linux system and LMMS 0.4.15.

on the MIDI Tab, i activate the midi output. i tried to change the channel number (10 for drums) but it doesn't seem to work with the numeric pad. And the right click doesn't seem to allow me the change ...

how can i change the channel number and the other parameters of the MIDI output section ?

Same as e.g. changing BPM, use the mouse wheel.
OK, i can set the MIDI channel* and note* with the wheel and the MIDI output port.

* elements seems not to be save in the LMMS project. I do not retrieve my MIDI settings across LMMS Sessions.

And i have some "segmentation fault" after a few seconds of play of my project but i don't know if this is related to the MIDI tabs configuration or not ...

I use Jack as audio output and alsa midi sequencer (default) as MIDI device.

Fixing that bug shouldn't be a big thing, but the probability of someone doing it goes up if you file a bug report: https://sourceforge.net/p/lmms/bugs/new/

That bug rings a bell... yeah, it was fixed recently: https://sourceforge.net/p/lmms/bugs/547/. You could try the git version or wait for 0.4.16.
