Opening project on other computers..

What happens if I attempt to open a project on another computer and the samples I've used aren't there? Will I be able to copy the samples into the project (from a flash drive), or will it not open at all?

The project will open but not play the sample tracks until you have copied the samples into the correct directory.

But isn't it better to copy the samples onto the other computer first and THEN open the project ?

Yea, I guess you're right. My samples are not all in the same directory though, so it's a mess. Thanks for your help!
