TripleOscillator, how do I...

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I need a simple organ-like sound and tried to make one. Now, I'd like it to sound warmer. How?

Here's my version:

I took your preset and modified it a bit. Well, a lot, but I hope it helps.

Calf rotary speaker is very good for getting a vintage organ sound.

Apart from that, it's not a very good idea to build chors in the actual oscillators, because that ties up too much functionality - the amazing powers of the triple osc are wasted... rather, put the chord on the func tab (where you can also conveniently change it and switch it on/off), that leaves the three oscillators to do other things: here, I set two of them an octave apart, and the third one tuned in between and on amp modulation, this is to maximize harmonics which are important in organ sounds.

Then I did some magic with the filter and envelopes, which you can probably figure out by looking at it. An envelope-following highpass filter can be used to give a bit of that "punch" at the start of the sound. The volume envelope is fairly straightforward.

There's also some detuning and stereo phasing added, this is to fatten up the sound, which makes it more alive.

If you really want to make it fancy, connect a LFO controller to the pitch knob, adjust the amount and speed, until you have a nice little vibrato effect - couldn't do this myself because controllers don't get saved in presets.
Thanks! I'll continue tweaking and learning! :D
Actually a quite good sound, truly "vintage". I played a children's song midi file with it; sounded like old toy boxes. :D

Btw, from that link I noticed something -- are you a Finn by any chance, diiz? It's not my business, I know, but I *am* a Finn and could not *not* notice... :D
I was last I checked...
:D

No, morjesta Tampereelta, nääs! :D

Btw, do you use triple osc for your own songs? There were quite fine sound sets, if they're possible without VSTs, I would like to know... I tried to make kind of supersaw myself, but it is not easy to know what to do. it's so much hit and miss.
Morjens...

Yeah I use triple osc quite a lot. It's a very powerful synth, in fact I use very little VST's these days. Almost everything can be done with the native synths that come with LMMS.

And yeah it's hit and miss, that's how you learn though - just mess around until you get a feel for what things cause what types of sounds. It helps to read up a bit on the theories behind sound formation and synthesis.
