external icon keyboard to record a track

Hi I am a novice and have a problem.
I have several instruments set to up to play a piece of music.
I want to listen to them whilst I record onto a new track with my icon keyboard, to add a new instrument track.
Is this possible?
If so how.

It is hard for me to understand what problem you have
I can tell yoiu that current lmms, does not have sound recording abillity at all.
You need to use something like Audacity, to record sound.
Lmms can however record midi-events, as you can see in the video.
