LMMS display issue with small fonts and VSTs

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
For many years now, I've been trying to get LMMS VSTs to work on Debian. Eventually I came up with the bright idea of using Wine to run the Windows version of LMMS, and the VSTs work now!

...partially.

Any small fonts in LMMS don't display correctly at all so they are unreadable, and the VST GUI windows won't display at all.

All decent image sharing websites are blocked on my computer, so I'll have to use links (they can't display as images on lmms.io because of the website I'm using). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here are screenshots of my issue:

VST GUI looks weird:

It takes the image of whatever was last in front of it:

Small fonts look really crappy:

I can't even read the settings:

PLEASE help, I'm really excited to finally move beyond the stuff that comes with LMMS!
I discovered something else. If anything happens to change something else in the GUI, that part displays correctly until the window is moved again. For example, if you change the preset in T-Force-Alpha-Plus, any knobs that were moved display in the VST GUI. Here's another screenshot link:

Hey, I figured it out!!!

I plainly used winehq-staging rather than the default wine, and now VSTs work on the Linux version!

Finally, after three years of work, I fixed it with a rather simple solution...

Thank you all! I'll be making new music with my new toys!!!

Goody! So all is ok now :)
If you run into new issues, just post again.
You can help everyone a lot, if you wrote a guide about what YOU did in order to get your Debian linux to run lmms
There is a rather waggy irony in the fact that 'L' in LMMS once stood for 'Linux', and Linux is the OS that gives everyone the most griefs .. :/
It is ofcause because there is no such thing as 'Linux'
Instead there are gazillions of weird distros with or without sufficient support for f.i. VSTige
Kind of a nightmare, really
If you make a guide, be 100 % precise with version and release numbers
I will add all guides to our wiki, with permission.
@musikbear Yes, I have noticed the irony in the name of LMMS.

And about the guide, I'd be happy to! Where should I post this guide?

Wooah! That's good news. That info will definitely help, alot of Linux users, including myself. :D
Nice to see it's going up, on the wiki.
