LMMS/nvidia driver conflict on Ubuntu

When trying to install lmms (from any source; software center, kxstudio ppa), it asks for removal of nvidia-libopencl1-331-updates. I'm not sure why this would be an issue, as the two packages have little to do with one another. Anyways, does anyone know why this is occuring?

What version of Ubuntu are you using?

Check out the dependencies of dependencies... could be a conflict somewhere down the line.

Should've specified, I'm using Xubuntu 14.04 and I've only been using linux for roughly a month, so how would I go about doing that?

Go to synaptic, select the package and click on the "dependencies" tab.

It replaces and conflicts with libopencl1. Does lmms require that?

I simply uninstalled the nvidia opencl library because it didn't seem to be of any importance, and lmms now installs and runs fine
