exact values in automation track

Hi,

I recently tried using a one second sample from a movie as an instrument by gradually reducing the sample length to slightly more than 9 ms, which would produce an "a" note if my calculations are correct. I do so by automating the "Endpoint" control in AFP. The problem is this needs to be very exact (in my example the start point is at 0.33, so the endpoint would have to be at 0.3391) and I can't find any way to give that value to the automation track (the closest value I can input with the mouse is 0.3401, which results in a frequency of 99Hz, which is nowhere near the 110 Hz I want) . Am I missing some exact input method for the automation track? Or is there a more elegant way to do what I'm trying to do?

Yes. The values I can input with the mouse don't change (or become more fine grained) when zooming in.

Well, the AFP isn't really designed as a wavetable synth... the loop point controls may not be fine-grained enough to do what you want here.

You could adjust the pitch knob until the loop you have is playing at the pitch you want...

if you can set the diel to the exact value, and then drag this diel into an empty autoamation track, the value is inserted in that track-container. I do not however know if the value would be precise on 4. decimal -doubt it, but the drag-to-exact-value method is so neat, that i just felt like telling you about it, anyway :)
