Zynaddsubfx Issues

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I have been having issues with Zynaddsubfx. Sometimes on certain notes, instead of playing the note for the designated amount of time, Zynaddsubfx holds the note continuously, even if I stop playback. In order to stop the sound, I have to clone the track and delete the old one, but the problem keeps happening no matter how many times I clone the track. It only happens with some notes and it seems to be completely random. This problem also only happens with some Zynaddsubfx instances. It seems to be completely random. I have searched the forum for similar problems, but I can't find anything. I am fairly new to LMMS, so please make replies easy to understand. Thanks!

That's a very strange problem.
Does this "holding note problem," also occur, when using other Lmms internal plugins, or Vst's to make sounds? :geek:

Any advice for him, Zynaddsubfx experts/users? :)

Save then reload the project file. That should fix it.

I'm not sure what causes it, but I run into that problem all the time. Everytime reloading the project has worked just fine. If that doesn't work, just force close LMMS (after saving of course) then reopen it. It's a pain in the butt I know, but it's the best solution I've come to find.

emediately i think : What version of lmms does you use?
This issue existed earlier, but it was fixed in the 1.0 series
I also need to know the OS

Yeah, I'm on the most recent build (as far as I'm aware) and I get the same issue. saving my project and then reloading that new save fixes it.

This problem only happens with Zynaddsubfx.

Closing and reopening LMMS stops the sound, but the problem keeps happening even after I do that. I can deal with it while I'm writing a song, but I don't want it to happen while I'm exporting and ruin the exported file. Opening the Zynaddsubfx GUI also cuts off the sound.

I use LMMS 1.1.3 on Windows 10.
Can either of you note down a sequence of events, that will cause this issue to happen? -Or is it totally randomly?

It's completely random, but it seems to be triggered by skipping where you are in the track multiple times within a few seconds.

With the exporting issue, so long as you reload it before exporting, it shouldn't get captured at all during an export. One thing I can suggest is that if you're using the chorus feature in the AddSynth portion of ZASFx, try not to go over 15 voices. That adds a lot of load on your processor if you're using a not so super computer such as a laptop.

Actually, come to think of it, I think it happened in one of my livestreams. Lemme check and see if I got a recording of that happening.

FOLLOWUP EDIT: No luck finding it. I'll forward a link the next time it happens and I'm livestreaming.

darn, then its almost impossible to get the hang of, .. with 'skipping' do you mean you move the playhead with the mouse??, and is it in piano-roll, or song-editor ?
