Automation Takes Up 2 Segments

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi,

I might be having this problem because I'm a noob at this, but when I try to use automation in the beat/bassline editor, although I only edit up to the number one, it takes up two segments in the beat/bassline editor.

As a result, the pitch of the mallets change as they are supposed to but then for an equal amount of time the mallets do not play at all. The automation is too long for the mallet loop.

Can someone tell me how to limit the automation to the segment I want it to?

I would describe this as a fault in LMMS. When you have a note lasting until the exact beginning of the next bar it shows two bars in the Song Editor. In both cases a workaround is to set the Q to a high number and tweak the position of the note ending, or in your case the last automation point. If you move it 1/192 to the left, it will only be one bar.
It's not LMMS's fault actually, don't blame LMMS :P

Each bar number is the start of a new bar. It would make sense that if you place something on the downbeat of the next bar, it will be counted as part of that bar. In the B&B editor's case, it doesn't matter that it is only the very first beat, there is still automation in that bar so it has to include it.

Other than that, what Sti said is correct. To fix you just have to end the automation in the first bar with no overhang into the second.
Yeah, with the automation and B&B Editor cases it isn't a fault. With the note length perhaps a logical flaw in the code. BTw, did this happen on LMMS 0.4.15 and older, I can't remember that it did? By this I mean that one bar note is a two bars long block in Song Editor.
Only if the note's quantization was tampered with or messed up, causing it to hang over into the second measure.
