Cropping piano roll

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Sorry if I am missing something obvious.

I recorded a segment of music in the Piano Roll window.

But before I started playing there is a longish gap that I want to reduce or remove altogether. Much like you would if you were cropping a WAV file or something.

Is there a way to do this please ?

Many thanks :)
Hit Ctrl+a or hold Ctrl to select the notes you'd like to more, then drag them over the amount you would like. Unfortunately there is no way to insert/delete space in the piano roll, but in the Song Editor you can hold Shift+Insert/Shift+Delete to add or remove measures from where the playhead is.
you can do as stakeout sugests, but there is always the risk, that you accidently drags the whole set a litle off. For that reason, i usally does it a little different
First:
Mark everything (ctrl+a)
Hold sh
hold left arrow
This will move all notes controlled in step of Q to the left.
When the left-most-note touch the the piano-rolls left limit, all notes stop, and you have moved the whole recording to the piano-roll-start (as wanted)
sh+ right-arrow will ofcouse move the notes to the right
sh+up/dwn is currently not moving as expected :) It will at a later release
Lmms has a lot of neat shortcuts:

While there is a risk of shifting semitones, I think most people with an ear for pitch (or knowledge in music theory) will be able to tell if they were sloppy with their dragging :D
Thanks a lot both of you - I'll give those ideas a whirl. :)
