Greetings and a little help.

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Just wanted to say hello and a big thanks for the goodies :)

I'm finding LMMS pretty intuitive so far, I just had a question about something though..

If I import a midi track I can play that via the Soundfont plugin fine.

I also installed the Superwave P8 synth.

I was wondering if there is a way to play my midi file through the P8 instead of the midi instruments. So far I can't tell if that's possible.

Thanks for any guidance :)
I found one way to do it. You can import the midi track and it loads it for the sf2 player.

Then make an empty VeSTige track.

You can then copy the track from the sf2 track into the Vestige track and it will use the VST instruments.

I don't know if there is a more direct way, but it works and I am happy for now :)

Just drag the instrument to the track in Song Editor, or open the instrument window for the track and drag it there. That's unless Vestige is in some way different from the other instruments (haven't bothered with it, so I'm not sure).
After 1.x the behavior of intrument-swapping is smooth and bug-free :)
All yiou need to do is to:
point to the sf2-track, and bring the UI up
If you have a vst-preset saved in My-Presets, then just right-click that preset, and choose context option
send-to-active-instrument
If you do not have a preset, but just want to replace it with an empty vst-container, from the sidebar' My-Instruments, then you just do like softRabbit says -Drag it into the same spot as the sf2 occupies, and it will replace it. Then you can open any vst-dll through the ordinary open-dialog on the vst-ui
Thanks guys, I'll try these ideas :)
