All instruments sound like static

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Using Ubuntu and I just downloaded LMMS and i closed it once and when i opened it again and tried to listen to some of the instruments they all sound like static and i have tried putting the master volume down. I'm kind of new to Ubuntu so i dont know what to do. Any help is much appreciated.
Open LMMS then on the left side open "My Projects' then a demo.. Dose it sound like static?
I have also found that pulse audio often causes issues in some audio programs. But this may not be the case if the demo music sounds OK.
I t has to do with the sound-device you have chosen in
Edit| Settings| Audio settings
Win users (as me) best choice is SDL, but as linux-user you have more advanced options.
You can read some about this here:
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=1. ... o_Settings
But the actual linux setup, depending on JACK, is not explained
ALSA is default linux choice
What do you have chosen?
I tried to play a demo and the same thing still happens. I was using the program right after i got it following a tutorial just learning how to use it i left to another program and when i came back and tried to listen to some of the sounds it was just static.
What sound setting are you using? Can you close all other programs and restart LMMS and then check again?
http://brycecoulson.com/lmms-tutorial-o ... and-drums/ this was the tutorial i was following i only got to the part where it tells you to hold over a sound to hear it and that is when the audio was all messed up.
yes but both sti-jay and i have asked you
What are the settings for your sound-device?
