I can't install LMMS o Mac

Hi

I can't install LMMS on Mac. There is a message everytime I try to open after installation: The application quited unexpectedly. I've tried with version 1.0.99, 1.0.96, 1.0.93. I have Macbook Pro 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with OSX 10.6.8.
Do you have any idea?

Have you tried the MAC ports. LMMS is listed here.

I am on Linux and dont know much about macs, but because the os is related, can you open up a terminal and start the installer from there ?
On Linux that often tells you exactly what the problem is.
