Yes, you can drop RemoteVstPlugin if you don't want to use VST effects and instruments (external ones). Qt is definitely required.

These are for build on linux
You need to dl either the x32 or x64 windows-install-packs, and none of the linux files.
For windows, you just first run uninstall.exe, and then install the new version
Do backup own stuf first
