I'm using LMMS 1.0.0 (Linux/i386, Qt 4.8.6, GCC 4.8.2), installed from repositories on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. When I use "export" or "export tracks", it almost always results in empty .wav or .ogg files. That is to say, the output files are valid audio files, but they are 0 seconds long.

I have tried various combinations of export settings but none of them consistently result in a correct output file. I managed to successfully export the project once, but when I tried again with exactly the same settings, it did not work. I saw the same issue with "export tracks", where most of the time I end up with only empty files, but one time one of the tracks worked (all the other tracks ended up empty).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try english localization in locale (also a clear advantage if you follow tuts or wiki information, btw)

Nope, I'm not using Russian. I'm using the default native English translation.

Please try installing the latest version. It should be 1.1.0.

For the sake of those who come after: installing LMMS version 1.1.0 on Ubuntu proved difficult. I could not get the PPA listed on the install page to work, possibly because it's for Lucid (Ubuntu 10.04) and I'm running Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04). In the end I downloaded lmms_1.1.0-1kxstudio1_i386.deb and lmms-common_1.1.0-1kxstudio1_all.deb from https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-debian/ ... /+packages and installed them directly using sudo dpkg -i.

I have the same error. im in russian anguage but idk how to change it wat do i do?

Two things here:
What LMMS do you have installed?
Linux-users need the AppImage on the Linux-tab!
This is however only available as x64

In Linux RC8 In Edit| Settings| Misc -Disable'Sync VST plugins to host playback'!!!
Rem. to backup before you reinstall!

2. here is how to change your language, in case you already are using our AppImage
go to Edit|Settings General
Here:
Select a language in the dropdown
Click OK

im on windows 10 and the change laguage thing doest appear. and idk how to use the appimage file. but ty for responding
