ambient music question

hey guys, im new here but ive been dabbling with lmms for a while

hey guys do you like bands like the album leaf? the american dollar, collapse under the empire, lights out asia
and the other ambient artists?

i want to make ambient music with lmms but it seems that most of the tutorials or songs i see on youtube are
techno, house, dubstep ,

is there someone out there who can help me create a nice ambient feel with drumloops for a song?

So a real good start would be a real good pad, with a lot of variation possibillities

Otherwise i would say: Listen to the genre you like, and then start to replicate the chord progressions, and build your composistion step by step
