Hi All

I cannot get any VST's to work with new version of LMMS on Ubuntu 14.04.

I have been able to get many VST's to work on previous versions quite easily but i just cant with 1.1

On previous versions of LMMS, i would download Festige from kxstudio repository and voila......vst's would work fine but that is not working now. Can anyone help with this please as i love my VST's.

Where did you get the deb file?
I advise using the kxstudio repos

I use the official kxstudio PPA and install through terminal.

You prob need to install wine. Wine is used to read the .dll files of the vst.

Thanks Gps but wine is included in the Festige package so i already have it installed. I read on a post a while ago (2012) that the kxstudio software Carla was going to replace Festige but not sure if that is still the case.

Coolio! I have sorted the problem and i now have VST's in LMMS 1.1.

For some reason, when i downloaded Festige on its own (sudo apt-get install festige) the vst's would not load. I suspect that it has something to do with the version of wine (rt) that comes bundled with festige.

I thought i would try to install standard wine instead of rt version to see if this made a difference and it done the trick! Awesome.....now i am off to make some beats
