Hi Guys I would like some advice on how many keys the midi keyboard needs to have.

The smallest once have as far as I can tell 25 keys.

But I am thinking a wider one.

I don't need 99 keys but 25 seems a little bit too little ?

I am thinking about this one:
49 keys.

Tips on better cheaper? midi keyboards are welcome.

25 keys: http://www.bax-shop.nl/midi-keyboards/a ... i-keyboard
32 keys: http://www.bax-shop.nl/midi-keyboards/m ... i-keyboard

If you're going to do complex, multi octave stuff or live performances I would suggest a 49 keys. But a 25 or 32 keys has its advantages like portability and price.

Yeah I have a broken mstation 49 keys over here, that is already not very small.
The usb connector is broken. But that stuff is so small, I doubt I can solder in a new one. There is 2.5 mm between the pins.
I already tried to solder the wires directly to the print, but that failed. I got that keyboard for free, and I am very annoyed I could not fix it.

Postage is cheap too only 2.50 euros. Now I only have to make up my mind 25 or 32 keys. Thank you.

The keyboard is just delivered. It seems to work fine in lmms, but recording is an issue. From another topic I learned I am not the only one with this issue.

This was fixed some days ago, should be released with 1.1.1 or 1.2.0, whichever comes first :-).

Alright then, KamienZen and Johnnyt, which of those two "websites" do you agree with the most?

Also, there's no problem with buying those products without clicking those amazon links, right?
