I used the synth1 vst, with a zipbank from Shiffbauer Kujashi and others, but I like to tip this one, if you like music from Vangelis and Jarre. ( zip 1 to 4, there are a lot of Vangelis presets, but also a few pointing to Jarre )

Synth1 seems awesome for 80 synth music.

I almost cant stop listening to it myself. LOL

I really liked your beginning, the plucked bass, I would have kept it at a deep tone all the way through. But that's just my taste.

Funny that you mention this. I maybe should try again, but was not happy about the sound, when I moved the notes down.
Maybe tweak the synth to produce a more deeper sound, in my mind I wanted prob exactly what your're stating. A deeper bass sound.
Maybe just use a different synth for that piece, and or search through the sh*tload of presets I have for synt1.
I am not gonna count them, but I have over 50 zipbanks, most have 128 presets each...
I also noticed that one part of the beat and base line I used, got lost in the sound of the other synths.
It was a nice of beat tjssss sound.
