What am I doing wrong with the sidechain controller?

This sounds horrible.
I tried following the tutorial on youtube (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q02AOg95Wzs) for using the side chain controller but it's a total mess and sounds awful. It also twitches up and down really fast and it's completely not smooth.
Here's the file. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The problem is the lack of sample-exact controls. Don't use sidechaining until LMMS 1.2 comes out where sample-exact controls have been implemented. If you need sidechaining, you can compile LMMS from the master branch, but it may not be completely stable

i did manage to get sidechaining and demonstrates the way to do it here:

Interesting enough though, it that with
some instruments, it is really awfull, with other its fine, and i do not know why. i suspect that it could be what diiz says - the sample exactness thing..

Gotcha. That explains that what diiz said in regards why it works with some but not all instruments.
I will watch your tutorial to learn from it. I already see that your method there is different from mine (which I also learned from a different video). The more knowledge, the better!
Thank you so much for the help, again! You're the best musikbear
