Hi,

Is there an explanation somewhere for the "Mod Wheel" knob on wrench part of Vestige?

if this is there, I found you can record live mod wheel movements and then play them back

If a developer of a VST wanted to add this, what would they need to know?

Thanks!

Sorry if against the rules to "Bump" posts but just wanted to see if there was some explaination out there I can read, or more importantly send to a VST developer about what exactly the "Mod Wheel" knob in the wrench section of Vestige is and how they can add it to there VST,

This would be super helpful not just to me (obviously haha) but to all the people how have asked about how to record and play back Mod Wheel movements

Ask on the developer mailinglist https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lmms-devel or github.com/LMMS/lmms in a new issue.

Sensible 'bumping' is not disalowed :) -At least you wont get any grief from me, with a bump like this. I would not like topics in the category 'Your projects' bumping, but this is a tech-Q that hasent been answered, so you are fine :)

..but afaik .. The dial is a 'placeholder' for a functionality, not yet implemented :(

I don't know the Steinberg (VST) interface rules, but I'll quote an article from JohnnyPumpHandle.com:
Some VST plugins, do not support automation because they were not designed to make their parameters available to the host program.
This likely explains what you are observing.
