lmms, Carla and LV2 instruments

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello and thanks for lmms! I hope its with me 'til the day I die.

I don't know if this is a feature request or a bug... I am curious why I cannot load LV2 instruments & plugins into the Carla Rack plugin (e.g., sorcer, TAL-noisemaker, synthv1, ams)? Carla successfully scans all ladspa, vst, and dssi, but in its "Add plugins"/"Refresh" window, it lists 0 lv2. In fact, it doesn't give me the option to check "search for new..." LV2 in the refresh window (even though it asks for the directory for lv2 binaries /usr/lib/lv2 in Preferences). Any clues how I can enable it to use lv2? I love the native-lmms instruments and effects, but it seems Carla is a great way to experiment with the huge amont of lv2 plugins without their devs having to code things specifically for lmms.

I'm not sure if this is an issue for lmms or Carla-specific, but I thought I'd try here first.

I use lmms-vst-full version 1.1.1 from the kxstudio repositories on Ubuntu 14.04 64x, using carla-git and carla-lv2 1.9.5.

Thank you!

Solved it:
I just had to run Carla outside off lmms, redo the "add plugins"+"refresh" and then it successfully located the lv2 plugins. Importantly, these were subsequently available in the carla-lmms instances. However, if I installed new lv2 plugins, I once again had to run carla outside of lmms to 'refresh' and find the new lv2: new lv2-plugins would not be available to carla-lmms otherwise.
Awesome! I now have lv2 plugins in lmms :)
huh, could be worth reporting on the issue tracker https://github.com/LMMS/lmms
I would prefer not to load Carla outside LMMS just to refresh, just as you
The Carla developer, FalkTx, fixed the issue two days ago. The latest Carla update should now successfully find and refresh lv2 plugins within Carla-lmms instances.
Now I'm having lots of fun with OBXD synth, Synthv1, and TAL-Noisemakr! Carla-lmms is still quite buggy with some plugins/synths (like Sorcer, Triceratops, Newtonator), at least on my set-up. Hopefully it will catch on and we can collectively hammer out some of the issues...
