Yes, it was made on LMMS, using other bunch of plugins.

I'd consider LMMS not as a rival, but rather an alternative to commercial DAWs. It's not like LMMS can compare to the likes of FL Studio and Ableton Live, but two things that set LMMS apart from the commercial ones: it's free and open source.
