MIDI stuff (NOT another complaint about exporting)

I imported a MIDI file, and I have a length of audio over 200 measures long. Is there any quick and easy way to split this into 4-measure segments?

Also, is there a way I can double or halve the tempo? Not the BPM, but the lengths and locations of the notes. Like turning eighth notes into sixteenths and such.

Are either of these possible with LMMS? I'm assuming not, but I'm asking just in case.

sadly you assume correctly. Not possible.

Aw, dang. There aren't any tools that I know of that can double/halve the speed of MIDI files...

Well, I'm a programmer, I guess I could write one...

Anyway, thank you for your answer!

Would you be interested in working on the lmms project ?
lmms are in dire need of developers

I've been using Python for eight years, but I haven't really gotten around to learning any others... I'm not sure whether it's because Python is all I need, or because I'm lazy.

I'll look into it anyway, and see if there's a way I could help. I love LMMS, and I'd be glad to improve on it! I've had many ideas for how to make it better.

Thank you!
