drums are playing the wrong notes, how do I fix?

I dropped a pre-made midi file into LMMS and it plays the wrong drum sounds. For instance, the snare drum note may play as a cow bell or some other random percussion sound. How do I fix this? ( BTW, this file works correctly in Wiindows Media Player, etc.)

* OS (+service-pack-version): : Windows 7 service pack 3.
* lmms version: LMMS 1.1.3
* lmms sound device chosen WinMM MIDI
* a sound-file on soundcloud or a similar service C:/Users/Shadley/Desktop/MUSIC STUFF/GENERAL MIDI SOUND FONT/synthgms.sf2

After more experimenting I found that the drum track was playing a "grand piano" patch. I opened up the track and changed it to "standard drum". And now it seems to be working!

Unless you have any other ideas on how to prevent this from happening in the future, for now, we can mark this resolved :D

I can understand that you have a soundfont with standards.
You can find many more percussion sets on the generaluserSF in wiki, i believe there is 9 starting with bank 128
prevent this from happening in the future

No a SF will always appear with the first available instrument in lmms, so you will always have to set the bank and the instrument manually, and in every track, every time you import a midifile :)
