Clipping Help

So I've been making a new song, but having some really bad issues with clipping in one of the sounds.

I know that to fix it you need to mess around with the frequency settings on the equaliser, but this is really starting to annoy me, because I can't seem to get it right.
Is there some kind of special way to work it out? Or is it random with every sounds?

Clipping. Ahhhh, an annoying problem, for all musicians. :P

One way I deal with clipping, for eg. drum sounds, in my music projects, is to lower the volume
of the drum sound. It works for most of my projects.

But in your case:
What synth or plugin, did you make the sound with, that's causing this? :)
Also, is it possible for us, to hear a short snippet of this clipping sound?

Use a frequency analysing tool -like SPAN,

and find where the problem frq is

Or is it random with every sounds?
Not random, but 100% specific

Ahh sorry for the very late reply!

Well unfortunately I lost the project, but it's sort of in general.
I usually use triple oscillator and watsyn, if that helps in the slightest. ;)

If the sound clips constantly, you should turn the volume down of either that sound, or the entire track.

If it clips, but not constantly, use the Fast Lookahead Limiter on it.
