MIDI trouble

Ok so I downloaded lmms and bought a midi USB wire from amazon to plug in my Casio privia keybored into my laptop. It all works but there's this one problem I can't solve. Playing single notes on my piano is fine but when I play a chord some of the notes get stuck and won't stop playing until I press those notes again. The notes just keep playing even if I don't hold those notes. What could be wrong?

Your issue is very strange. Stuck notes was in a 'historical' perspective a problem, but current 1.1.3 is not plagued.
So what is your lmms version?

Another problem could be with the preset you use
