How Did I Do This Fade?

I placed a note today, and it was colored in much different. It looks like this:

The screenshot is huge, so I don't want to break any tables.

The note produces a fade, and I didn't have to use the automation track! ... how did I do this, though? I must've slipped and clicked on something, but I don't know what.

I believe that is the panning of the note. If you click note volume below, it should switch to controlling the panning of each individual note. The fade probably has to do with the length of the note.

I'm not sure though.

Yes, it is the panning of the note. Your screenshot says it's a left panning.

Yes Panning
You have accidental clicked in the toggle-field for note-volume & note-panning:

(Black square in low left)
After that you must have moved the tiny blue slider for that note
The note produces a fade
That it should not. If it did, then you have a problem with the speakers, it will only move the sound in the stereoimage.
