Problems with AudioFile

This probably has a simple answer, but I've been trying to get some samples into LMMS through AudioFile. When I try to play the sample, though, no sound comes out at all. In the tutorials I've watched there's always a little green square above the notes to mark the base key, but mine is grey. If this is what's causing my sample to not play, how can I fix it?

Not sure about that..
But what type of audio-file are you trying? MP3 is not supported!
Make a screenshot of the file loaded in AFP
Is there a spectrum?
