Hi,

I've recorded on analog fostex machines my whole musical life, just got the iRig HD2 as a sort of inbetween until I can afford a better audio interface. Therefore, I'm not very good at this. My first basic question is can I use the iRig HD2 to record guitar/bass/synth into LMMS? If so, what are the steps I need to take within the software to get it set up?

No.Unfortunately LMMS does not have any ability to record audio.

Some people use Audacity (also a free program) to record tracks and then import them into LMMS for mixing etc.
