MIDI Key assignment for Noob

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I used VeSTige plugin to run MT Power Drum Kit and compose a drum part in the piano roll based on the keys assigned to the different drum sounds. My question is how do I assign other drum sounds via samples (downloaded from the web) to change around and customize my kit? Is there a way to assign the keys in the piano roll editor to play different sounds via samples? For example, can the key (keys [lines in the grid]) that are now arranged to make the sound of a snare drum be changed to play another snare drum sample of my choosing and if so how?

I have tried other drum plugins with little success as they all seem a bit complicated to set up. However finding cool drum samples as wav or ogg is pretty easy and I have downloaded many.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
You can't change the sounds in MT Power Drum and you can't use other samples on the same track.

But you can easily use whatever samples you like in Audio File Processor, putting them each on a separate track in Beat & Bass Editor. But that does mean you have to program each sound separately.

What you ask for needs either a real sampler-plugin (we do not know anyone for windows) or you need a soundfont-editor.
With a soundfont-editor, you can build your own soundfont, with your own samples, but i have never done it, so i cant say how complicated or simple it is :)
