I really like this beat and feel like it has a lot of potential so if you have any suggestions let me know.

Also, I had 2 other beats I never posted here. So if you want to check those out as well here they are.

1. Pstr : https://soundcloud.com/jbarn97/pster
2. Beamer: https://soundcloud.com/jbarn97/postrq
I like it, but it could use some more parts, and some variation in the snare and hi-hat. I also think that the cymbal did not fit the tone very well.

As for adding more parts, l would suggest maybe some rising tones or static to build and release tension. If you can't come up with something, listen to similar beats and pay attention to what's going on in the background.

I feel you, and i understand what you're saying.
Thanks, helps a lot!
However, when you have a rapper/singer on the beat, is there still variation with the beat all the time?
In other words, the artist may have variation in their voice or verse which distracts away from the repetitive beat a little.
Just wasn't to sure if there was variation in the beat as well as the artist, I'm assuming yes but I was just curious.

You bring up a good point - although you want to have fills and new parts, you don't want them to be distracting. Beats are usually custom fit to a song so they can have "interludes" when the artist isn't rapping/singing.

Listen closely to the beats of other rap artists and you'll hear some good examples.
Endless - Cool beat. :D
I agree, some snare and hihat variations, will suit this track well. :D
Maybe, throwing in one or two, fast short snare rolls might help too. :D

Pster - The beats and melodies in this one are rad. Like it. Good synth sounds too. :)

Beamer - This one definitely sounds much different, from your usual tunes. And I like the melody too. :)
Note: The kick drum heard from the start, sounds a bit too hard. Unless that was intentional.
Maybe, turning down the Freq dial and Low Passing it, might help here.

All three tunes have potential.

Appreciate that, and I definitely agree on adding some variation on some snare rolls.
I feel as though I'm always repetitive LOL! but I'm working on it.
I just always feel like having a voice on a track would improve it a lot.

Nah, don't worry.
Sometimes short repetitive tunes, are really cool to listen too. :)
