LMMS and Sustain Pedal (bug?)

Hi All,

When using MIDI to record what I play on my Roland Synth, the LMMS piano roll feature works fine,.except it does NOT record the sustain pedal events, making LMMS useless for a pianist to record anything. So, how do you get the sustain pedal event to work when recording note data in the piano roll?

I have read some chatter about changing envelop or other settings to correct this, but based on your response (and my instincts), I'm guessing changing settings will not really help this issue. Right?

Anyways, I look forward to the new release and appreciate any other comments or info regarding this.

I don't think you can work around this via the envelope settings. If you can I would like to know about it. Do you have a link to the discussion?
There is another bug with beat notes, the zero length notes in the Beat/Bassline Editor, where a sample is suposed to be played until it's end but is instead affected by the envelope settings even though the envelope is turned off. Could this be the one you're thinking of?

The envelope setting change I read about was to active the sustain pedal events. I tried it. Didn't work. I found the thread by doing a Google search, but I can't seem to relocate it, sorry. Zonk...

I'll be checking that forum link for the announcement. I don't do social media much.

There is another issue with sustain that really can be worked around by turning the envelope off (Amount level 0.0).
