Not hearing any playback

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I think I just lost a day's worth of work over the stupidest thing today. I finished a drop and I saved it. Right after saving the file, I tried to listen to the song, but there was no playback. It wasn't just one instrument, ALL of them weren't playing, and all of the instruments I tried to add in wouldn't work either. Other programs have no problem, even other files on LMMS.
I'm sorry if I was a bit vague, I want to work this out together as best as I can.
When you say "doesn't play" do you mean it looks like it's playing but no sound comes out or do you mean the playback cursor doesn't move?

If the first of these,,,check you haven't accidentally turned the master volume down (top of the screen next to Time Sig). Or the master fader in the FX Mixer. Then check the Audio Interface in Settings. What is it? And what is your operating system? And version of LMMS. Information helps.

I found it. It's the lookahead filter on the calf limiter. It's not like it's a one time thing either. is there something wrong with it if it's on LMMS 1.2 and Windows 10?

No but when you set filters on filters, you may end up with a setting that block output

Yes, I think there's something fishy with the calf limiter. I don't think it's specific for LMMS 1.2 and/or Windows 10.
This version of calf plugins are not developed/supported upstream as they made the switch to LV2 and we're not quite there yet. There is a general issue made around sound cutting out because (at least partly) of plugins https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/1048. I've tested the unit and found it very hard to troubleshoot. My best bet is that this will continue to be an issue and that somewhere around lmms-1.3 we'll be using the LV2 version of Calf instead.
