problem with sequences/pattern

Hi there

The beat, bassline editor / piano roll makes a pause before repeating the pattern. When I shorten the last note, that it didnt touch the last line, it works properly, but I'm sure there is another way, for telling the programm, to jump back to the beginning. I hope I telled it understandable, my english is quite bad

Yes, it is rather annoying. I assume (as a user) that the only solution would be to change the code of the program.

I am not quite sure I understand what's the issue is here. There was an issue, and this was specifically for beat note patterns, where you would get an extra bar if you add a note too close to the end of the bar. This was fixed. https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/1105

Then there's the length of the beat that is defined by the length of the last note. This is a bit problematic as you many times, if you're a funky little kitten, want to go over the beat and keep playing. You can achieve this by letting the patterns overlap each other. Is this what you're trying to achieve?
