How do I edit full .wav songs in the song editor?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hey, so i'm a beginner learner of lmms andI was just trying to edit a song that is about 3 mins long, and wondering if it's even possible to edit the song because it seems as though whenever I put it in the song editor from My Home>Desktop and open its AudioFileProcessor to render it in the piano roll it either doesn't show up or when it does it just crashes my lmms.

So is it possible to load it in? or am I just doing things wrong? I'm just trying to edit the track so I could learn through it.
Audacity is a really good free program for editing music files like .wavs. http://www.audacityteam.org/

LMMS is much better with MIDI and synthesizers etc. making the song in the first place. It can't really do much with audio files other than play them.

I don't know if LMMS imposes a limit, but audio files too heavy (in MB) do not pass.

100MB in 1.1.3 that's not the issue with a 3 minute sample.

trying to edit a song that is about 3 mins long,

With how many AudioFileProcessors / individual samples. If you overshoot your RAM, it will be a problem

possible to edit the song
:
open its AudioFileProcessor to render it in the piano roll
No that is not possible at all. AudioFileProcessor is for sound-files, and those you cant edit in LMMS. The aforementioned Audacity is a good program for that.

it either doesn't show up

Again, It cant show up in piano-roll
it just crashes my lmms.
That is something we need to figure our why!
please post your:
* OS (+service-pack-version)
* lmms version
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* lmms sound device chosen
* a screenshots of error-state
