Sample issue please help

So I'm new to LMMS and like to have my own sample kits in LMMS. But every time I go into My Home and go to downloads to open up the sample kit, it's just a white box. I'm so confused please help!

Is it via LMMS that you are trying to access your sample kit?
Can you open them in any audio player?

If you want to use your own samples in LMMS they shouldn't be in any Downloads folder. If you move them to a folder called "samples" under whatever you have in Settings as your "LMMS Working Directory" (the default is something like C:/Users/*yourusername*/lmms") then they will appear in the My Samples list along with the LMMS provided samples.
That's all supposing you're using Windows.
