Actually, I have not looked into that subject, much. I was only aiming for relaxation music, not specifically healing music. I have found that the more I can create a deeply relaxing environment for my patients, the better the acupuncture works. I use music to help with that. I have bought music, over the years that claimed to heal at an energetic level, but I've noticed that different music seems to work better for different people.
I think, as a musician, if you are making music that uplifts people, or provides catharsis in beneficial way, you are doing well. Mostly I listen to uplifting music, but if I am depressed, I may listen to Pink Floyd's The Wall, for instance. Encouraging the depressed state can help me move through it faster. I won't, however, listen to music that seems full of violence or hatred, or feels energetically chaotic to me. How I feel about the energy of music can change over time, as well. For instance, during the first ten years or so of my meditation practice, I could not listen to Yes, or much jazz. Those kinds of music felt very chaotic. In the past few years, though, I have been enjoying them again.
