To have two versions of LMMS in parallel

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi, I use LMMS 1.1.3 under win7, I would like to install in parallel the last RC (to check the integrity of my projects).

Is it a good idea?
If yes, is there a recommended installation procedure ?

Otherwise, for those who went from 1.1.3 to RC3, did you notice any changes in your projects?

Thanks

You and me and ... well .. would like to
BUT
It 'cant' be done
Well 'can' but it is a d r a g
The colpit is the dot-file
IF (and i do not recommend it..) You try to have 2 installations, you will need TWO dot-files, AND
As in Highlander; "There can only be one"
So you need to replace the dot-file with the corresponding installation, before you try to open lmms.
One mistake, and the house caves in
I have done it, for version-testing and it 'worked', until i forgot 'where i was', and ran the wrong instance.
Ok its not the end of the world, nothing is lost, but reinstall and new dot-file is needed
Bottom line : Dont
Hmm, I will follow your advice and therefore abstain.

Thank you.

 Has anyone noticed a possible alteration of his projects with the RC3?
I just switched from 1.1.3 to the RC3 a few days ago and haven't noticed any changes in my songs whatsoever. I'm on Win10, so we're both using the Windows releases.
Thank you :)
