sforzando - inconsistencies between piano keyboards

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
So I'm trying to experiment with SFZs in LMMS, and I'm using a plugin called sforzando to do it. I'm using the tuba SFZ from VSCO 2 CE library.

From what I can understand, the SFZ I'm using has different sounds depending on where you press the key so that it can make more realistic sounds depending on it's volume. But for some reason, the LMMS keyboard seems to be somewhat off compared to that of what is heard in sforzando.

Is there any known way to fix this? Here's the tuba SFZ so that you don't have to download 2 gigabytes of files.

At the moment, lmms does not support the sfx-format, only sf2 soundfonts. From (hopefully) next release, lmms will support GIGA-files, with a new insert.

sforzando as VST is not doing well with all versions of lmms. I believe some has been able to use it in linux
Here is a thread, where one user get it to work

Let us know if that also helps you, then it can be considered more general, and be added to wiki.

Judging from the video it looks like the 'base note' (green square above the piano keys) of the vestige instrument is one semitone too high. Click directly to the left of it to set the basic tuning to A4.

Tried that, still didn't fix. My problem has more to do with the level of volume rather than the tone of it.

Took a look there. That... actually solved my problem. All you really need to do is this:

...and there you go. Problem solved.
