First Song in a While, Critical Feedback Appreciated

Hello! The computer I used to make music on had sudden motherboard issues, which caused me to lose many of the projects I was working on. Understandably, I lost ambition to create more songs after that incident, but I recently got back on and rediscovered how rewarding it can be!

Deficit

It's a bit all over the place, and would appreciate any kind of feedback offered. There is a sudden chord progression change in a couple of places that I'm not too sure about, so if it sounds out of place or just plain bad, don't hesitate to let me know!

Hi!

Yes! Nice track!

I don't have concrete advice to give, I don't know how, but I think you can push this track further, to give it a stronger impact.

To stay motivated :)

Thanks for the feedback! Although, admittedly I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "push this track further". Do you mean extend it? Add more parts? Again, thanks!

Yes, my comment was not very explicit ("Whatever is well conceived is clearly said")

What I mean by going further is not related to the composition part, it is not adding parts, it is not extending its duration.

It is rather related to what a sound engineer would do in the mix. How to increase the impact of the track? How to sublimate it? It's linked to the mix as such.

I have no precise idea :(
I just feel that it is possible to sublimate the existing :)

Oh, I understand what you are saying now. Thanks, that is valuable feedback!

It's the worst nightmare that can happen when working on a computer.

Have you been able to recover some projects?
I'm sure there was a beautiful treasure

No, but the hard drive is still intact and functional. I just need to find a friend with a modern desktop that would allow me to borrow it to pull some files off.

Hopefully when I finally recover the pieces, I'll have improved enough to recognize them as terrible haha

It sounds pretty okay so far.
I like the piano part, from 2:19 secs to 2:59 secs, but it sounds a bit too low.
A slight volume raise, during the piano part, will do just fine.

Sorry to hear about your computer.

Hey, what's up dude! Like the vibes, I would make the lead less dirty, and bring the other instruments in earlier. Also, I would lower the sustain on the chords (if possible, lol), because imo the synth has a been of a lingering feel.

I would also throw another rhythm or two in there, to add variety.

Like the 8-bit ish sounds btw! Very Dubsteppish. (Also, you got a follower in me. Deficit=Dope. 8-) )

Thanks to the both of you! I'll try and implement this feedback in my next track, all of it is very useful.

Just one point of clarification - @ophbeat, do you mean to add more fill variety, or just more percussion instrumentation?

Thanks again!
