Atmospheric Viby

Hello !

As said in the "influences" topic, I am fond of ambient artists such as Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin.

So I really want to improve my skills in this style.

Here is my latest piece. Took 3-4 hours to produce, I have been messing around with some automation tools. I let you guess which ones.

Comments and critic will be appreciated as always,

thanks :)

Okay:
From 1:27 secs to 1:56 secs and later on in the track, I hear a slight bit of distortion noise
with the bass drum type sound.

And from 2:05 secs, the rumble noise sound, needs a tiny volume reduction.

Also, the track seems to be missing something, special in it. I have no idea what that is. Lol. :P

So far, it's a nice track ya got there. :)
If you refix, or add in new/more stuff to this track, feel free to repost it here, so we could listen to it.

Hi !

Thanks again for reviewing my production :)

I do not get the distortion between 1:27 and 1:56; does it means the bass drum you talk about is too loud somehow ?

For the rumbling effect at 2:05 the volume was intended, but of course if it is too aggressive I can put it lower.

By listening to the track, I would not have made the connection with RDJ and BoC.
But that does not detract from the interest of the track.
In particular, I enjoy the drums section.
By cons I bugged on the explosion that appears at 02m05s.

Nice track

Yep that sound.
Maybe the distortion could be caused, with the bass drum clashing with another sound
or it could be, that it's too loud. :)
