Hey guys!

This is a stab I made at old people music. Bluesish, Jazzish, Swingish. Judge away, and enjoy!

-Timour

P.S. I plan to start releasing a song once a month this year

Wow! You really did good work on this. :)
Yep. It's definitely old peoples music, mixed in with a semi modern sounding kick beat. :D

I'll admit, this whole tune, was put together really well.
And you definitely succeeded, in replicating the feel, of old time type music.
So good work on that. :)

The lower bass key piano melody, that plays in the background, sounds like one of those
classical childrens piano folk tunes, taught at schools, back in our grandparents days, when
they were young. :)

Nice one, I like the few harmonic layers that appear from time to time. I did not expect drums. Nice end too.

So, see you next month!

Thanks as always for sitting through the whole thing and delivering excellent feedback! I always look forward to seeing what you have to say.

I don't have any comments on the production...
That's hmm...original. But I don't think you are using jazz scales or blues here, just jazz instruments so that's not really jazz or blues :P I would say, that it has nothing to do with syncopation, swing or anything jazzy.
Try to work with these: http://www.learnjazzpiano.com/article/2 ... -1-chords/
Or maybe you want to be Frank Zappa :D
And If you call Swing - 'old man music'...hmm maybe it's better to listen to a bit of Swing, Jazz, Louis Armstrong?
I highly recommend you to watch this brilliant series on history of Jazz (available on pirate bay):
